TACOMA-PIERCE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
SPOKANE REGIONAL HEALTH DISTRICT
We understand your challenges because we've been there.
Spokane Regional Health District was among the first group of health departments to receive national accreditation.
Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department has a history of leading innovative practices in community health, including quality improvement and participatory planning & budgeting.
THE CENTERS FOR EXCELLENCE IS A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN TWO LEADERS IN COMMUNITY HEALTH QUALITY, INNOVATION and engagement: THE SPOKANE REGIONAL HEALTH DISTRICT AND THE TACOMA-PIERCE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT.
The Centers for Excellence provide consulting services to health systems, health departments, social service agencies, governmental agencies and other organizations interested in community engagement, equity, quality and performance improvement. Originally formed as the "Washington State Public Health Performance Management Centers for Excellence", this group of community health experts was funded through the National Public Health Improvement and Infrastructure grant awarded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. When grant funding ended in 2014, the demand for Centers consultation and assistance continued to grow among health departments and other agencies that needed:
Practical tips and training
"Real world" application of innovative and quality practices
Successful experience with PHAB accreditation preparation
The Centers for Excellence continue to provide these services through fee-for-service contracts, grant sub-contracts and other sponsored funding mechanisms.
